Prior to joining McLaren Automotive, Gareth spent 18 year’s Nissan UK, Europe and beyond developing his knowledge of sales, distribution, marketing, product planning, digital commerce, electric vehicles and connected cars. Gareth led the Nissan Europe Electric Vehicle team between 2015 2019, products across the energy and charging infrastructure industries. Recognised by industry peers, he received both the Automotive News Rising Star and Euro Star awards for helping kickstart the EV market in Europe. More recently, Gareth was Vice Present for brand, marketing and customer experience across Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Russia leading the advertising campaigns, connected car program as well as the online and in-store digital experiences.
Gareth has driven the full launch of multiple electric vehicles, implemented the delivery of a global connected car platform on vehicles in Europe and Russia as well as created a set of unique customer experiences in partnership with the UEFA Champions League, Ministry Of Sound and at racing events such as Le Mans and the European legs of the Formula E race series.
