On Thursday 18th January 2024, Walpole and the Evening Standard hosted breakfast reception and presentation on the State of London Luxury in the French Salon at Claridge's in Mayfair. After pastries and a chance to network with fellow sector leaders, guests were invited to take their seats for a panel assembled to examine and analyse the capital's status as a global luxury capital, based on our recent report, The State of London Luxury, produced in association with Cadogan.
During the discussion, the members of the panels looked at the unique ecosystem encompassing luxury retail, hospitality, culture, infrastructure, and the presence of affluent customers, as well as highlighting current trends that define the city's luxury landscape.
Moderated by Katie Ingram, Trade Marketing and Insight Director of the Evening Standard, the speakers on the panel comprised Sean Ghouse, Director of Retail UK at Fortnum & Mason, Katy Wickremesinghe, Founder of KTWLONDON and The Wick, Caroline Jennings, Marketing and Communication Director at Cadogan, and Jonathan Prynn, Business Editor of the Evening Standard.
