Nestled amongst the British countryside, the Ramsbury Estate is based in the Kennet Valley and stretches over 19,000 acres of land in Northeast Wiltshire, West Berkshire, and North Hampshire.
The Ramsbury Distillery was built in 2014 and creates award-winning super-premium sustainable Single Estate Spirits, combining ingredients that are almost entirely grown on the Ramsbury Estate for exceptional quality and imitable British taste.
‘Grow everything, waste nothing’ is Ramsbury’s motto, whatever we can do ourselves, we will do ourselves – we strive for sustainability. Whether it is electricity from solar panels, heat in the form of steam from the biomass boiler or recycling all our wastewater through the bio-bed system.
The ethos behind Ramsbury Single Estate Spirits is to give as much as we can back to the land and showcase British products with full traceability. To mark our pride in our liquid’s authenticity, each bottle is printed with the coordinates of the field where the grain that makes our spirits was grown.
Ramsbury Single Estate Gin is a modern twist on a classic London dry gin. The spirit is distilled in a copper still using Horatio and Spotlight wheat, grown on estate grounds, before the spirit is distilled again with nine botanicals including locally picked quince grown on the Ramsbury Estate. A crisp, full-bodied gin in which floral notes combined with our defining botanical, quince, gives it a moreish and sweet palate. It’s perfect when paired with a classic Indian tonic, a slice of apple and lime and plenty of ice.
Ramsbury Single Estate Vodka is elegant and medium-bodied, with a rich and creamy texture. It is both distinctive and enigmatic, with a unique and memorable character. Just a few ingredients combine to make our wonderfully characterful vodka, Horatio and Spotlight wheat grown in our fields adjacent to the distillery and our own chalk filtered water, which when distilled make one of the smoothest single estate spirits.
